Looking back at September 2025, I took my 101st freelance project, B2 Cake Shop, from a known brother, Mr Babon Goria. Before taking it, I had done some vigorous research on their GMB profile and found that there were lots of missing links because the site was not ranked in the top 3 local listings.

Basically, B2 Cake Shop is a Cake and Flower shop that deals with cake and flower bouquet delivery in Vadodara and nearby areas. There was no ranking found with local keywords such as: cake shop in Vadodara, flower bouquet delivery in Vadodara.

So, after analysing all these things, I told the founder what to do to rank and generate calls from GMB. They told me Do whatever you want, but I need results.

So when I took the project, my first job was to list all their products cakes, flower bouquets details along with descriptions and prices.

Second, I made a plan that I had to post 3 pieces of content in the GMB update, including 1 offer post, in a week.

Third, I took some videos as well to submit in the GMB update section.

4th, I told the founder to take some reviews from happy customers who were satisfied with their product.

I continued these basic things for the last 12 months, and nothing surprised me; today, the results are in front of everyone.

Last September, the report says there was almost a 40% increase in Business profile interaction compared to 2025, a 266% increase in call frequency compared to 2025, and a 40% increase in website clicks compared to 2025.
